Election Materials

This page is to provide current election materials and updates as well as historical documentation of past GLA Election materials and results for maximum transparency and understanding of GLA Election results year after year.

URGENT: ACTION NEEDED

While a great deal of time and effort has gone in to ensuring our shared Glastonbury community is afforded an efficient and seamless election cycle it has recently come to our attention that a few issues have arisen.  Please see the below informational and actionable items which will assist in ensuring all votes are properly validated and counted in the 2026 GLA election.

1.        The ballot packets for all landowners included a pre-addressed return envelope, however, that envelope did not have a pre-printed return address in the upper left corner of the envelope. In order for your ballot to be counted, a name, address and parcel number is required on the upper left corner of your returned ENVELOPE. See instructions below for necessary next steps for all landowners and ballots.

a.        URGENT - Action needed by all landowners:  We kindly ask that all landowners who have not yet submitted their ballots, or have not yet received their ballots, patiently allow for the delivery of a new pre-addressed return envelope that will include their name, address, and parcel number in the upper left corner of the envelope before submitting their ballot.  If you have already mailed your ballot to ATS in the provided envelope initially sent with the ballot packets, please contact the GLA immediately at info@montanagla.org, and we will make arrangements to ensure your ballot is properly validated and counted, if your parcel is in good standing at the time of election result tabulation.

**Emailing submission of ballots is allowed. Please see 2027 Ballot Packet for instructions for email submission.

2.         Informational: Ballot packets mailed to North Glastonbury landowners experienced a file-sorting error that affected the printing of envelopes. As a result, most North Glastonbury packets display an incorrect first name. This printing error has no impact on the election process. We kindly ask all North Glastonbury landowners to disregard the incorrect first name on any ballot packet they have received or will receive, and accept our apology for any confusion. The Emigrant, MT Post Master has advised that any mailing with an incorrect first name will be returned to sender.  However, we cannot determine how non-local post offices will handle this error.  The GLA is therefore working to re-send North Glastonbury ballots as soon as possible to all affected landowners.

3.        Informational:  Ballot packets for all landowners included instructions which were not the final copy approved by the GLA Board of Directors. Please see link below with corrected final Ballot Instructions for both North and South. The instruction error does not affect the ballot itself.

2027 Ballot Packets

2027 Ballots were shipped on September 15, 2026! Please keep an eye on your mailboxes for the packets. Be sure to read the instructions carefully to ensure you submit all the elements of the packet properly. Due to the sensitive legal nature of election materials, ballots were not sent via email, regardless of your designated communication preference. Please reach out via email or by phone at (406) 272-8338 if you have questions about the ballot or you do not receive the packet.

All ballots must be received by November 3rd, at 5pm MT. Please see Ballot Packet for instructions on official submission options. In order for your ballot to be counted, you must have all your GLA assessments current by October 31, 2026 and be in good standing.

See below for 2027 GLA Director Candidate bios. These will also be included in the 2027 Ballot Packets.

We look forward to another year of building community and a more resilient Glastonbury Landowners Association with the incoming 2027 GLA Board of Directors!

Election Committee

The Election Committee is tasked with planning and executing GLA Director Elections, per the Bylaws. The committee meets to come up with a plan for the upcoming election cycle, communicates these dates to landowners, creates nomination packet and election packet, sending these materials to landowners, and communicating with the 3rd party ballot processing, typically ATS. All of the election committees plans and actions must be voted on and approved by the Board before proceeding. On occasion, the Election Committee can meet to investigate the previous election cycle and report back to the Board with its findings.
